TRACE 2024 – Tree Rings in Archaeology, Climatology and Ecology

On Monday (03.06) & Tuesday (04.06) the TRACE 2024 workshops will take place. They will be held in classrooms / laboratories of the Faculty of Silviculture and Forest Engineering from Brasov, Transilvania University of Brasov. For further details on the workshops, see the Workshops section.
On Tuesday (04.06) evening, an ice-breaker will be organized to welcome all the TRACE 2024 participants. Further details on the ice-breaker will be given in the final programme of the TRACE 2024 conference.
From Wednesday (05.06) to Friday (07.06), the TRACE 2024 conference will take place at the Aula Magna (Aula Sergiu Chiriacescu) of the Transilvania University of Brasov. Address of the Aula Magna: 41 A Iuliu Maniu Street, Brasov, 500091, Romania. Further details will be given in the final programme of the TRACE 2024 conference.
On Thursday (06.06; afternoon & evening), the mid-term excursion and the conference dinner will take place. Further details on both events will be given in the final programme of the TRACE 2024 conference.
On Saturday (08.06) there will be either a field excursion to the Sinca virgin forest, either a visit to the Bran castle (the famous “Dracula castle”). VERY IMPORTANT: before you sign up for any of the two excursions, please see the Excursion section.
