EXCURSIONS

On Saturday (08.06) there will be either a field excursion to the Sinca virgin forest, either a visit to the Bran castle (the famous “Dracula castle”).

The Sinca virgin forest is a strictly protected area. This is why, the forestry administration limits its access to a certain number of visitors. Specifically, there will be a limit of 50 people that may go. This is why, we are going to apply the 'first come first served' rule. VERY IMPORTANT: before you sign up for this excursion you need to take into account the following information: the access to the Sinca forest is not an easy one as the slope has between 30-40° (45 – 50 min. walk on this slope); then the terrain gets flatter but it’s still a walk on a narrow forest path; you will need good boots and field gear clothing for this excursion and a good physical condition; the walk through the forest will take around 4 hours.

For those of you that do not feel comfortable for such an excursion / walk, you have the option to visit the Bran castle (https://castelulbran.ro/). The Bran village is also worthy of a visit, with plenty very nice Romanian craft shops.

You may register for the excursions when you fill in the registration form (see the REGISTRATION FORM & ABSTRACT SUBMISSION section). The fees for the Sinca excursion and the visit to the Bran castle will be provided in the REGISTRATION FEES section.
